We visited some of the French countryside. We found the closest wine region to Toulouse - Gaillac. We found a winery owned by a Scottish couple so were able to communicate easily. After sampling/purchasing we went on to the medieval city of Cordes-de-Ceil. It sits on top a hill. We drove to the top, navigating some of the narrowest streets I've ever seen. It was picturesque. The pictures are of the countryside and Cordes.

We found a flat
Thanks Myrna Kay for the title of the blog. I think we found a flat - I'd call it a condo... very modern and less than 10 years old. We'll wait and see how the leasing process proceeds. I now have a good "feel" about how and where we're going to spend our year. French lessons are definitely required.
